Incredible and beautiful! My husband and I recently got to spend five memorable days in Italy. I was amazed by the history the land held. I so enjoyed how the Italians treasure and appreciate and hold onto the architecture of old, and how they took the time to enjoy one another’s companionship by slowing down every day for 3 1/2 hours. Whether it be sipping an espresso, savoring a siesta or cherishing a chardonnay, they showed me in such a brief time what it looked like to try to slow down time.
We visited Venice, Vicenza, Verona and Treviso, as well as the quaint towns of Asolo and Bassanna Del Grappa. We were able to tour a 600 year old winery (34 generation family) and we stayed two nights at an amazing bed and breakfast which was an old flour mill in the 1500′s. It had been renovated and rebuilt by it’s generous and extremely kind owners; whom, by the way, had never even heard of Oklahoma.
As a lover of light and the lens, of babies, brides, families and children; I am now captivated by Italy’s beauty! I wish to share with you the buildings and landscape that pulled me in and left me standing in one place, turning in circles, “clicking” my shutter while my jaw hung open!! Enjoy and Ciao!
